If you want to know how to improve the use of English in your classroom take a look at this:

Tips for encouraging the use of English in the classroom

• Always reply in English, even if students are speaking in their own
language.
• Try not to be too dogmatic, but comments like ‘It’s easier for me to
speak English – and it helps you’ can explain your approach.
• Artificial motivators like the swear box for use of the students’
mother tongue can be introduced in a light-hearted way, or a list of
forfeits which anyone not speaking in English must carry out. Use
dice and a list of six forfeits (which you can vary throughout the year),
e.g. ‘Count from twenty backwards very quickly’, ‘Sing a song you
know in English’, etc.
• Points can be deducted from the team score during games or
contests if the mother tongue is used.
• Make it clear to the students that you do not welcome the use of the
mother tongue in your classes. If this proves to be a problem, report it
to the teacher in charge.
• Simplify the English you use to suit the comprehension level of the
class and stick to a clear body of classroom instructions which are
concise and supported by gesture if appropriate. This does not mean
speaking in monosyllables or broken English. Use tone of voice,
stress, intonation and any visual methods to aid understanding.
• Help students to make an effort to understand without depending
on a quick translation. This can take time in groups not used tomaking intelligent guesses or deducing meaning from context.

Pedagogical implications of using web page construction as a classroom assignment

In my presentation I will discuss my experiences in having students construct web pages as class assignments. I will describe how I have designed this assignment in order to make it a meaningful and valuable educational experience for the students. I will touch on issues of identifying appropriate subject matter for class web pages, types of resources available, providing students with the necessary technical skills, maneuvering issues of plagiarism and copyright, and maximizing the educational value of such an assignment. Students are often intimidated by the prospects of designing web pages, but once they begin they are enthralled by the creative process and empowered by their ability to master new skills. Properly designed and implemented, such assignments facilitate critical and creative thought processes among students. By designing web pages which are available to the broader public, it also leads students to a deeper and more complex understanding of their civic responsibilities.

I am currently in my third year of experimenting with having students construct web pages as classroom assignments. The purpose of my talk is to discuss the mechanics and evaluate what I see as the advantages and liabilities of engaging in such an assignment. I would like to stress that this is still very much in the experimental stage; I am playing with the assignment to see how I can make it better meet the students' needs. I welcome feedback and suggestions as to how to improve this project.
Briefly, let me touch on two reasons why I think students should be encouraged to design web pages as classroom assignments:
I think building web pages can be an empowering experience-teaching students how to communicate their ideas clearly and strongly to a broad public. In an era in which free speech is extended only to those wealthy enough to afford a medium of communication, the Internet has become a powerful tool for reinforcing egalitarian notions of democracy.
A much more pragmatic consideration in having students construct web pages involves economic issues. Given the nature of our high-tech world, bringing these skills to the work place will make students much more employable. In relation to the first consideration, I hope that the training in my class will make the students more careful and conscious as to how they exercise the power of technology.

Title: ICT to improve Motivation In EFL Classrooms

This research tents to provide a viable solution to motivation problems in EFL Classrooms, and tries to encourage teachers to use and interact with new strategies such as ICT in their regular practice as a mean of recycling and reinforcing activity. Technology provides a new world of information and communication. Due to its importance, it is used by a great amount of people in almost all the everyday activities they do. Using technology as a factor to improve motivation can lead teachers to improve the student’s learning process and help them to be interested in learning English. Since, for students the use of internet and its tools are very attractive and motivating.

Nahir, I've been thinking about you question lately.

Our practice in researching hasn't been practical. it means that everything that we have done is related to looking for info in books and internet, "Documental" research. As a matter of fact, we developed some research skills through some subjects like evaluation and methodology in EFL. when we were force to create lessons plans and apply those lesson plans with our students. that has been the only kind of "investigación de campo " that we have done lately.
